Design ruts are all to easy to succumb to, and I often combat these times by shifting to some creative work. I had the idea of using my first 3D model as the player ingame.
This is my own original character, birthed from mind to paper, paper to screen. The left shows the topology of the base character mesh, the middle is the final product and the right shows the high poly sculpt for which I taught myself Zbrush.
The final product sits at just over 4k polys optimised for games.
